Cancellations, Refunds, and Changes
If you have to cancel your trip, French Walking Tours must be notified in
writing. All the monies will be refunded in full less the following cancellation charges :
Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended and can be obtained through French Walking
Tours. Travel arrangements through French Walking Tours are sold as a package and therefore we regret that there can be no
refunds on unused hotel rooms, meals, sightseeing, ground transportation, or other services booked. There is an alteration
or change fee of $60 for changes to confirmed reservations if more than 61 days prior to departure. A late booking fee of $30
will be charged to bookings made within 21 days of the departure date.
Trip Descriptions and Prices
The trip descriptions, prices, and booking conditions on this website are accurate as of the
"Last Updated" Date on the website. However, due to currency fluctuations, rising costs, and changing travel conditions
overseas, French Walking Tours reserves the right to modify the price and itinerary at any time. The customer will be
notified by either E-Mail or phone when this situation arises.
If we cannot find a roommate of the same sex for the departure on a scheduled group trip,
French Walking Tours will charge the single supplement. If single accommodations are requested at the time when the
customer makes a trip reservation, a single supplement fee will be charged automatically.
Cancellations By Us
If French Walking Tours are forced to cancel a trip due to inadequate trip participation
or conditions beyond our control, our liability is limited only to the cost of the land arrangements. French Walking
Tours cannot be responsible for financial loss due to the imposition of a charge by airline carriers on partially
or totally non-refundable tickets. French Walking Tours STRONGLY recommends that the customer checks with their
airline carrier and any pre-trip or post-trip hotels to see what the refund terms and conditions are. Thus, refunds are
limited to the above outlined conditions. French Walking Tours will transfer the customer's payments to an alternative
trip if so desired.
While French Walking Tours doesn't require purchase of travel insurance, we STRONGLY
SUGGEST that the customer do so. We offer several types of insurance to cover trip cancellations, interruption,
accidental, medical, and baggage/personal effects. If the customer declines insurance, French Walking Tours will require
a signed waiver. Also, the customer's existing medical insurance policy should be reviewed to see if it is applicable for
overseas travel. Please contact French Walking Tours to review the types of insurance we offer.
Once a Trip Reservation is Made
Once a customer has made a trip reservation with French Walking Tours, a detailed trip
itinerary, arrival and departure information, required clothing and walking equipment, and other miscellaneous
information will be mailed to the customer.
The customer must be in good physical and mental health for these active walking tours.
by signing the "Release and Assumption of Risk" section of the Reservation Form, the customer certifies that they are
in good condition. French Walking Tours STRONGLY SUGGESTS that the customer purchase medical insurance, if required.
A valid passport is required for international travel to France with an expiration date
of at lease 6 months after the customer returns. All customers are responsible for acquiring a valid passport and
visa for travel to France.
A deposit of $350 per person must accompany the completed Reservation Form. This payment
can be made with a credit card or by check. The remaining cost of the trip is due 60 days before the start date.
