Location:
Vinmont Veteran's Park is located in North Riverdale at the corner of West 254th Street and Mosholu Avenue.
Vinmont Veteran's Park is a popular large playground and is the only public playground in North Riverdale. It is a totally enclosed playground with gates.
Vinmont Veteran's Park is aimed at toddlers, preschoolers, and young children.
Swing equipment:
Vinmont Veteran's Park has two sets of swings for a total of six swings.
To the rear of the park's entrance, there are: two full bucket molded plastic infant swings and two leather belt children swings.
To the right of the park's entrance, there are: two leather belt children swings.
Climbing equipment:
There are three climbing frames at Vinmont Veteran's Park.
There is a climbing frame to the right of the park's entrance. There are openings in the climbing frame so children may fall off. It is designed for ages 5-8.
The climbing frame has five graduated steps to it; a five-foot high spiral slide with four steps to it; a swinging curved bridge;
a two-step vertical ladder; a tic-tac-toe wheel panel; and a steering wheel.
NOTE: None of the equipment is wheelchair accessible or meets ADA guidelines.
There is a climbing frame to middle of the park's entrance. There are openings in the climbing frame so children may fall off. It is designed for ages 6-12.
The climbing frame has six graduated steps to it; a seven-foot high spiral slide with four steps to it;
and a six-foot high spiral corkscrew ladder.
NOTE: None of the equipment is wheelchair accessible or meets ADA guidelines.
There is a climbing frame to the rear of the park's entrance. There are NO openings in the climbing frame. It is designed for ages 2-5.
The climbing frame has four graduated steps to it; a three-foot high double straight slide; a two-foot high infant slide;
a swinging curved bridge; a two-step vertical ladder; a tic-tac-toe wheel panel and steering wheel;
and a five-step arched ladder.

Sandbox:
Vinmont Veteran's Park has a small sandbox that is square-shaped and approximately five feet by five feet.
Shading and park surface:
Vinmont Veteran's Park has about 10% shade. Vinmont Veteran's Park has an asphalt surface with black rubber safety mats under the climbing equipment and swings.
Facilities:
Vinmont Veteran's Park has a sprinkler, a water fountain, plenty of park benches, and a restroom.
Local features:
Vinmont Veteran's Park is a large playground. The park attracts many children from nearby P.S. 81 (a public elementary school) and a nursery school run by Riverdale Neighborhood House.
