Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Public Library

The Friends are a non profit organization whose members support the library through volunteer services, fundraising and advocacy.

Friends meetings are usually held monthly, on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the library.

The Friends aim is to:

• inform the community of the library's resources, services and needs
• sponsor and stimulate volunteer service for the library
• provide funding for library programs
• sponsor cultural programs and exhibits
• purchase items for library beyond the librarys ordinary budget (such as a Baby Grand Piano)
• encourage gifts to the library
• support staff enrichment

Help make your library better.

As a Friend you will:

• be invited to attend and vote at the annual meeting
• receive newsletters of Library events and Friends activities
• have a chance to meet new friends while helping to improve the Library's service to the community
