Despite the fact that The Second Aeon was a financial liability for Peter Finch and was ignored by the mainstream press, it reached a circulation of 2500 copies. Finch went on to found
Second Aeon Publications, a more successful enterprise that eventually produced 100 volumes. Finch has published many volumes of poetry as well as How to Publish Your Poetry (1985), How to Publish Yourself (1987) and The Poetry Business (1994).
