Kensico Elementary School "Family Reading Nights" children reading image

"Family Reading Nights" is a program sponsored by a grant funded by the Valhalla Schools Foundation, which features three theme based evenings, held in October, March, and June. The program advocates families sharing in the joy of reading. Linda Carpentieri, Media Specialist, Mona Voelkel, Reading Specialist, and Bill Wright, 3rd Grade Teacher, host these programs.

Families gather in the School Library Media Center at 7:00 p.m. to read together and share stories with other families. A craft activity, which compliments the reading night theme concludes the evening, which ends at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Refreshments and snacks are served after each event.
