Avoiding The Danger

The most important and effective method to avoid driving drunk happens before the first sip. Have a plan before you start drinking and, just as importantly, stick to your plan.

Hosts of parties can be held liable for damages if a guest of theirs drives drunk. Offer friends and family alternatives to drinking. If people are going to drink, make sure they have a way to get home or a place to stay beforehand. Poor planning leads to poor decisions.
