Pre-K Playtime
Story, music, and play for children 4 and 5-years-old not yet enrolled in Kindergarten. Group size limited to 18. Parent/caregive attendance is optional. Held twice a month.
Alphabet Soup
Story, activity, and craft for children ages 3 through 6. Each session focusses on a different letter of the Alphabet. Parent/caregiver participation required. Group size limited to 23. Held twice a month.
Kinder Krafts
Story and craft for children 5 and 6-years old. Group size limited to 23. Held once a month.
Bedtime Books
Pajamas and teddy bears welcome to this evening story time for 3 to 8-year-olds. Group size is limited to 24. Held once a month.
Kids Workshop I
Story and craft for 1st through 3rd graders. Group size limited to 23 children. Held once a month.
Kids Workshop II
Story and craft for 4th through 6th graders. Group size limited to 23. Held once a month.
Check Mates
An afternoon of games hosted for 3rd through 6th graders. Activities vary from Library Scavenger Hunts to board games such as Checkers, Chess, and Candy Land. Group size is limited to 24. Held twice a month.
Saturday Story Times
Story and activity especially for children who are unable to attend our weekday programs. Sessions divided into three age groups: 1 to 2 years-old with parent/caregiver, 3 to 5 years-old, and 6 to 8 years-old. Rotates weekly by age group.
Mom's Morning Out
Informal drop-in program for moms and their little ones to make new friends and become acquainted with the library. New books and media will be on display. No registration required. Meets twice a month.
In addition to the programs listed there are special seasonal activities hosted by the Children's Room. These include the Annual Halloween Parade, Black History Month Storycraft Celebration, and The First Day of Spring Celebration.
