Sharon Kullberg's love of painting was inspired by the natural beauty of her native Illinois. Golden cornfields beneath a dramatically changing sky led her to landscapes. In the late Seventies, a move to Oregon introduced her to the mystery of fields and distant hills. In the Eighties, she headed for the east coast to the bustle of Brooklyn where the lack of a distant view spurred an interest in still life. She is still trying to share what she sees by using paint to capture a bit of her world on canvas. She lives in Croton-on-Hudson with her husband Greg, and two boys Michael and Jonathan. She is also the guardian of several devoted pets.
