Arrest Warrant
This document from June 6, 1717 details the capture of Richard Caverley and his subsequent escape. A command follows for a "diligent search" and to "cry after him" from town to town and county to county. To aid in the expanding search for the pirate, a physical description was given to ensure proper identification. The following is the excerpt relating to Caverley's description.

"the said pyrate[sic] being a tall and lusty well sett[sic] man aged about thirty two years, pockfrotten[most likely pockmarked], wears his own black hair, full faced, dark brown clothes with a lace about two fingers broad about his hatt[sic]"
