MOJITO HISTORY

A Mojito is an alcholic beverage that originated from Cuba, although the exact origin is subject to debate. Some believe it derived from Afican slaves who worked in the cuban sugar fields. The name Mojito seemed to have been coined from the name of the sweeet nectar. Havannna Journal states that around the mid 1800's, the recipe was altered and gained in popularity as the original Bacardi Company was established.
