The Sensory System

In order to be aware of the information received from the world we must have certain capabilities which include receptors to receive stimulus, nerve routes to carry the stimulus to the brain and centers in the brain to interpret the stimulus. The organs of the sensory system include the eyes, ears, tongue, nose and skin. They supply information to the inner body. They help the body to detect changes in the environment and to adjust so the body can adapt and maintain homeostasis.
