Glacier Bridge

The Glacier Bridge crosses the Nisqually River about 1 mile down Hwy. 706 from Christine Falls, providing a spectacular view of the area at the end of Nisqually Glacier.

Be Prepared:

Stopping your vehicle on the bridge is not recommended, so park in the paved pullout at either end of the bridge and use the walkway.
Though there is little traffic, please use extreme caution when crossing the bridge.

What to Expect:

The Nisqually River and moraine left behind by Nisqually Glacier as it has receded up the mountain.
The lower end of Nisqually Glacier is just 1 mile up the valley, right around the rocky cliff on the left side as you look up.
