Make foundation chain 3 chains more than the number of triple crochet stitches called for. Skip first 4 chain stitches (will count as the turning chain).

  2. Insert hook into the fifth chain from the hook (will count as the turning chain) (For repeat, insert into the next chain).
  3. Yarn over.
  4. Draw the yarn through the chain (4 loops on hook).
  5. Yarn over.
  6. Draw the yarn through 2 loops on the hook (3 loops remain on hook).
  7. Yarn over.
  8. Draw the yarn through 2 loops on the hook (2 loops remain on hook).
  9. Yarn over.
  10. Draw the yarn through 2 loops on the hook (one triple crochet complete).
  11. Repeat steps 1 to 10 across to the end of the foundation chain.

  3. Yarn over.

  5. Yarn over.
